THE INCLUSION INNOVATION WORKSHOP
AĀ SignatureĀ SpaceĀ Within MINEO
A living laboratory for reimagining inclusion, intervention, and support — guided by the Power of Possibility and grounded in Montessori philosophy.
.01 USING MONTESSORI AS A COMPASS FOR POSSIBILITY
The Inclusion Innovation Workshop is a collaborative learning space within the Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio, designed to extend beyond our current ways of thinking about inclusion across the lifespan. Guided by the Power of Possibility, this work uses Montessori philosophy as a compass — helping us see differently, support differently, and recognize possibility in every stage of human development.
This is a space for reimagining inclusion, intervention, and support through a developmental lens that honors variation, dignity, and belonging.
.02 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Participants are invited to move past inherited models and explore new ways of understanding how environments, relationships, and adult responses shape experiences across a wide range of settings. Through research, project-based inquiry, and practical application, the workshop serves as a living laboratory for innovation — Montessori principles ground the work while encouraging creative, forward-thinking approaches that extend beyond traditional inclusion frameworks.
Together, we aim to shape inclusive practices that grow and adapt alongside individuals over time. By honoring human variation and the changing contexts of life, this work supports people in developing agency, belonging, and the capacity to thrive at every stage of development.

.04 CURRENT PROJECTS
TOOL DEVELOPMENT
Elementary & Adolescent Planning and Reflection Journals
Structured journals designed to support agency, metacognition, and self-directed learning in the elementary and adolescent planes of development.
Grounded in Montessori principles of independence and purposeful work, these tools support children and adolescents in tracking their own growth over time.
FRAMEWORK
Developmental Integration Framework
A practice tool for Montessori guides and educators that reorients how we understand and support children. Grounded in Montessori's human tendencies, Self-Determination Theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology, it offers five observational lenses for seeing the whole child:
Rather than asking what is wrong, this framework asks what is unfolding, what is needed, and how the environment can be prepared to meet each child where they are.
