The Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio (MINEO) is a professional training center dedicated to strengthening Montessori practice in service of human development.
Rooted in Montessori philosophy and informed by contemporary research, MINEO serves as a regional hub for learning, reflection, collaboration, and innovation, supporting educators, families, and community partners who share a commitment to the wellbeing of children and communities.
MINEO is home to the Inclusion Innovation Workshop, which together invite a reimagining of how inclusion, intervention, and support are understood and lived through a Montessori lens. This work positions Montessori not simply as a method or model, but as a way of seeing and responding to human development across diverse learning environments and community contexts.
Through workshops, coaching, and collaborative learning experiences, MINEO empowers educators, parents, and community partners to prepare responsive systems of support that are grounded in observation, respect, and relationship. These systems are designed to grow with children and adults alike, allowing all members of a learning community to belong, contribute, and thrive.Â

Teacher Training Has Arrived in Northeast Ohio
AMI Montessori teacher training is here — and enrollment is open.
MINEO's Teacher Training Pathway begins with an Orientation Course, continues through an Assistants Course, and leads into full Diploma training.
Through our partnership with the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) we are excited to Montessori teacher preparation directly to our region.

Join us for the MDDA Practitioners Course, a two-day, in-person workshop hosted by the Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio on November 7–8.
Rooted in Dr. Montessori's philosophy of aid to life, this workshop equips care partners with practical, possibility-forward strategies for supporting older adults and individuals living with dementia and disability — at every age and every ability.

MINEO's professional training courses are offered in partnership with the Montessori Institute of North Texas, bringing nationally recognized AMI-Montessori credentialing directly to our region.
Montessori Care Partner Collaborative (MCPC)
MINEO is proud to partner with the Montessori Care Partner Collaborative — a mission-driven organization bringing Montessori's "aid to life" philosophy to aging, dementia, and disability care. Together, we extend the reach of Montessori principles across the full lifespan, preparing care partners to recognize and draw out the potential in every person they serve.
PDK Educational Consulting
MINEO partnership with PDK Educational Consulting, centers around the Power of Possibility framework — the foundation for MINEO's training and workshop offerings, including the Inclusion Innovation Workshop.
