The Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio (MINEO) is a professional training center dedicated to strengthening Montessori practice in service of human development.

Rooted in Montessori philosophy and informed by contemporary research, MINEO serves as a regional hub for learning, reflection, collaboration, and innovation, supporting educators, families, and community partners who share a commitment to the wellbeing of children and communities.

MINEO is home to the Inclusion Innovation Workshop, which together invite a reimagining of how inclusion, intervention, and support are understood and lived through a Montessori lens. This work positions Montessori not simply as a method or model, but as a way of seeing and responding to human development across diverse learning environments and community contexts.

Through workshops, coaching, and collaborative learning experiences, MINEO empowers educators, parents, and community partners to prepare responsive systems of support that are grounded in observation, respect, and relationship. These systems are designed to grow with children and adults alike, allowing all members of a learning community to belong, contribute, and thrive.

Rooted in Dr. Montessori's original framework of education as aid to life, we are proud to announce that the Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio (MINEO) will be partnering with the Montessori Care Partner Collaborative to offer Montessori for Aging and Dementia: From Can't to Can Do!

This program brings the same strengths-based, possibility-focused lens we apply in classrooms into the lives of aging adults and those living with dementia — honoring dignity, supporting belonging, and asking not what has been lost, but what is still possible.

Growing Montessori Teacher Education Together: MINEO + MINT

The Montessori Institute of Northeast Ohio (MINEO) is proud to collaborate with the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) to offer high-quality, AMI-aligned Montessori teacher education in Northeast Ohio. This partnership expands access to internationally recognized training while strengthening the local Montessori community.

By pairing MINT’s depth of teacher education with MINEO’s regional leadership and professional learning network, the collaboration creates a strong pathway for educators to grow and thrive. Grounded in Montessori philosophy, the program supports rigorous preparation alongside ongoing, classroom-relevant support.

This partnership also deepens MINEO’s work in inclusion and intervention, ensuring these efforts are rooted in strong Montessori foundations. Together, MINT and MINEO affirm a shared commitment to excellence, collaboration, and the continued growth of Montessori education in Northeast Ohio.

MINEO is housed within the Stonebrook Montessori Hub, a purpose-built home for Montessori learning and community in Cleveland, Ohio — made possible through our partnership with Montessori Development Partnerships.

Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT)

MINEO's professional training courses are offered in partnership with the Montessori Institute of North Texas, bringing nationally recognized AMI-Montessori credentialing directly to our region.

Montessori Care Partner Collaborative (MCPC)

MINEO is proud to partner with the Montessori Care Partner Collaborative — a mission-driven organization bringing Montessori's "aid to life" philosophy to aging, dementia, and disability care. Together, we extend the reach of Montessori principles across the full lifespan, preparing care partners to recognize and draw out the potential in every person they serve.

PDK Educational Consulting

MINEO partnership with PDK Educational Consulting, centers around the Power of Possibility framework — the foundation for MINEO's training and workshop offerings, including the Inclusion Innovation Workshop. Together, the two organizations are committed to strengthening Montessori practice in service of human development.

Guided by Montessori principles, Stonebrook Montessori Hub’s mission is to foster an intergenerational, intercultural, learning community from birth to mature adulthood. Stonebrook Montessori Hub’s vision is to be a beacon for peace and education. Montessori Development Partnerships is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
